Troubled auto giant, General Motors, is to sell its Saab car business to a small Swedish luxury carmaker, Koenigsegg.

The agreement comes after weeks of uncertainty over the level of support for the bid from Koenigsegg's backers. But questions remain regarding the financing of the deal.

A statement from GM Europe is vague about the terms, beyond saying the deal is a "stock purchase agreement".
