Luis Alberto Moreno, President of Inter-American Development Bank

The largest regional inter-governmental development bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, has approved China to be its 48th member nation. As a donor member, China will contribute 350 million US dollars to the IDB for key development programs in Latin America and the Caribbean. IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno told us what makes China's membership important at this particular time.
