For the very first time, non-ASEAN countries will be taking part in the China-ASEAN Expo which opens on Wednesday in Nanning, capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

France, South Korea and Japan, have decided to send delegations to this event. With these new additions, the number of booths in the exhibition center will hit nearly 39-hundred, which is a record high. Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Myanmar will have their own theme halls during the Expo.

ASEAN member nations say they plan to send 13 delegations to check out the technology on display.
