This year's China Industrial Design Week has opened in the eastern city of Ningbo.

500 Chinese enterprises are putting thousands of products on show designed to be either environmentally-friendly and energy saving. Here, you can find the most amazing items. One example is a tiny electronic cooling and heating machine that can be connected to a computer or car, using just 0.2 kilowatt-hours of electricity per day.

While a wafer-thin computer comes equipped with a web-cam that can sense exactly how you feel. Many here are duly impressed by what they see as huge step forward for many local companies.
