e-Business Champions" in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou on August 2.

In 2004, the couple, Chen Hanjun and his wife, opened an online shop on taobao.com, the most popular customer to customer site in China. Their online business centers on athletic footwear, including brands like Nike, Adidas, and Converse. In the past four years, the shop has racked up 8,585 positive evaluations, the highest among Taobao's Fujian outfitters.

Their annual business volume tops 2.65 million yuan, and nearly eight percent of the money resulted from the e-shop.

The 2008 Top 10 e-Business Champions competition is open to companies and individuals engaged in online trading all over the world, including Asia, Europe, America, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East. This year's winners were selected from among 85 finalists between June 6 and August 2.

The sales achievements of Chen Hanjun and his wife are dwarfed by those candidates with annual sales volumes of more than 100 million yuan or nearly 15 million US dollars, but the competition organizers thought highly of the disabled couple's pioneering spirit and conferred upon them an honorary title, the report said.
