| The International Monetary Fund has lowered China's economic growth this year. |
In a report issued Thursday, the IMF says emerging economies remain the most dynamic. China, which has had a rising exposure to demand from the US and the EU, will grow at just above 9 percent in 2008, slower than its 11.9% recorded in 2007.
The IMF adds that advanced economies, such as the US and the EU, are the most affected by the current financial turbulence. And the influence of the financial turbulence may well be carried into 2009 and thereby slow down the year's growth.
