Civil aviation regulators in the country are investigating the pilots involved. China Eastern Airlines says if it's proven that the pilots turned back deliberately, the firm will address the situation in an appropriate manner.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China says it has already sent out a crew to Yunnan this week. And it has gathered all necessary information for investigation, including weather reports and flight data.
