popular in China.

In a stamps and coins market in Beijing, most customers are interested in products featuring the 2008 Olympics. Some foreign collectors have made a special trip to Beijing, just to purchase Olympic stamps.

Investor From Germany, said, "I began collecting stamps with theme of the Beijing Olympics from last year. I've bought 99 percent of the products, spending around 50 thousand yuan. I believe the return will be good."

Traders say as of this February, the luke-warm stamp market has been reignited by the Olympics fever. However, many of these investors are newcomers in the stamps sector. They've invested a lot of money, and are expecting high returns without doing much research.

Ms Ren is one of them, she has bought stamps featuring the torch relay worth over five thousand yuan.

Ms. Ren. Novice Stamp Collector, said, "This kind of products are very popular now so I buy them. I just feel that their value will be higher in the future."

Some veteran investors point out newcomers lack experience and knowledge. They say that stamps issued this year are actually shrinking in their value. The price of a torch relay stamp was 27 yuan per set in futures market, but it has now dropped to 16 yuan per set.

Insiders say Olympics stamps which were issued in 2005 with the theme of the Olympic emblem and Olympic mascots, have a good prospect.
