Special Report:   2008 Olympics Countdown

Beijing authorities are set to announce a new system for the second phase of Olympic ticket sales later on Monday.

Earlier last week, the ticketing system was unable to cope with massive demand from eager online buyers, forcing the Organizing Committee for the Games to temporarily suspend ticket sales.

The committee is reassuring those who have already registered for the tickets, that they will enjoy priority when the second phase of sales re-opens.
