The China-Europe Forum continues in Brussels. It's aimed at promoting cooperation and encouraging dialogue between China and Europe.

The Forum is supported by the European Parliament, the European Commission, as well as the Chinese Embassy in Belgium. Over a thousand participants from all walks of life are discussing possible forms of future collaboration and exchanging experiences.

Guang Chengyuan, Chinese Ambassador to EU said "China attaches great importance to this forum and the Chinese delegation is, of course, willing to cooperate and assist with the coordination of the event. High level officials from the Council of the European Union and the European Commission have delivered positive speeches which reflect a willingness to develop Sino-European relations. And that's a very positive and important sign."

Forum participants include politicians, scholars, entrepreneurs, farmers and students who spoke highly on the constructive output of the event. They said that globalization and the rise of China are presenting new opportunities and challenges.

The forum is being held in two phases. The first phase, held on October 4 and 5, involved workshops which took place simultaneously in various European cities. This second phase reunites all the participants from the first phase -- plus key Chinese and European figures -- in Brussels.
