Many people will be savoring mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival. And this year, the traditional treat may have something extra.

Consumers buying mooncakes during this year's Mid-autumn festival can be sure of their quality by checking whether the packaging bears a "QS" mark. "QS" stands for Quality Safety, and is a new market-entry requirement set up by the country's quality administrative body.

So far over one third of the country's three thousand plus confectionery enterprises have passed the "QS" certification.
