Special Report: Mid-Autumn Festival Gala![]() |
Taiwan's aviation regulator has released the charter flight schedule for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival. There will be a total of 48 flights across the strait during the period.
The charter flights will operate between August 18th and October 2nd. Twelve airlines will operate the flights between five cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xiamen on the mainland; and Taipei in Taiwan.
About 4 million people from Taiwan visit the Chinese mainland annually. And an increasing number of Taiwan residents stay here for business and school. Airlines have been trying to provide more flexible and convenient travel options for consumers. For example, Shanghai Airline passengers can buy tickets flying from Shanghai to Taiwan, and then choose Macao or Hong Kong for their return to Shanghai.
