Hangzhou Wahaha, involved in a trademark dispute with Groupe Danone SA, says minority shareholders in the companies' joint venture have sued a director appointed by the French company for unlawful competition.

The minority shareholders, who own five percent of Shenyang Wahaha Drinks, sued Qin Peng on the grounds that his board membership at a rival drinks maker constituted illegal competition.

They have asked for a million yuan in compensation and 4 million in damages at Shenyang Wahaha.
