Special Report: May Day "Golden Week"
Banking services in China has been one of the focused issues recently, due to a wide criticism of the long waiting time. Customers' complaints have been increasing, while shopping and dining-out have become the frequent activities during the holidays. In Shanghai, staff of Agriculture Bank of China arrived at their offices at eight o'clock, even one hour earlier than usual, in order to better serve the soon-coming customers. Actually this is only one of the measures that Shanghai banks take to facilitate the customers. Data shows that 70 percent of the outlets of BOC keep open overtime in the holiday. However in Fujian province it's another story. Most banks there were closed in the first three days in the holiday. Thus, long queues in their banks are not rare to see on May the 4th.
