The car show opened on Tuesday. Fuel efficiency through new technology and hybrid vehicles is a top theme at this year's show. Daniel Perre, Automobile Magzine, Detrroit said: "In Europe there's awareness of global warming, it's probably going to spread to the United States. So I think the auto makers are feeling much more push from regulators and pull from consumers on the issue."
Smaller and more fuel-efficient cars from China will be getting attention. China's Brilliance JinBei Auto unveils its first cars targeting European consumers, the BS 6, BS 4 and BC 3. The three models will enter the European market this year. The show comes amid stronger concerns about global warming and the environment, and a debate about auto emission limits in Europe.
