A senior Chinese officials says the country will continue to expand its auto export while strengthening technology innovation and brand building. Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan made those comments while visiting the Beijing Auto Exhibition which kicked off Sunday.

Zeng Peiyan said Chinese auto companies should bring in advanced technology and management expertise, enhance their research and build up their own brands. He added that China should also develop environmentally-friendly cars, and new types of car fuels to promote energy saving. China has become the world's third largest auto producer and second largest auto market to date.
