China UnionPay has launched its ATM service business in Italy. This becomes its 23rd overseas site.
UnionPay is teaming up with Italy's biggest credit card receipt unit CartaSi for the venture. Some 3,500 ATMS around the country will be installed to accept UnionPay cards by the end of this year. Most of them will be located in big cities such as Rome, Milan and Florence which are popular destinations for Chinese tourists. And around eight thousand merchants in Italy are expected to accept the UnionPay.
