Hunan´s projects attract Hong Kong investors

The Hunan and Hong Kong investment week is being held at the Hong Kong exhibition center. Hunan is a province in central China.

And as BizChina's Fangjun discovered, the province is bringing over 3,500 investment projects worth 76 billion US dollars to the event.

The projects include industrial manufacturing, city infrastructure and logistics investment. They have attracted many Hong Kong investors to the event. One major project involves 6.8 billion US dollars, and plans to link the economies of central China, Hong Kong and pan-Pearl River Delta.

Lau Mingshun, vice president of New Territories Commercial & Industrial Assoc., said: "There is a rich labor force in Hunan Province. And the costs in many fields are relatively lower, even compared with the costal areas. It is a good choice for investment. "

In the opening ceremony, Hong Kong officials also introduced the investment climate in Hong Kong. The two sides signed various cooperation agreements of memorandum.

Hong Kong investors welcome the projects in Hunan. They say these projects alleviate the tense pressure on resources in the costal areas and balance the supply and demand in the different regions.
