　　Stephen Gately was one of the members of the Irish band Boyzone. Boyzone are one of the most successful boybands in history, who over the last seven years have notched up no less than six number one singles, four number one albums and played to millions of fans the world over. They have songs such as "All That I Need", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Love Me For A Reason", "Baby Can I Hold You".

　　As a member of Boyzone, Stephen Gately becomes a household name. He also won Irish Personality of the Year. In 2000, Boyzone decided to go solo. Stephen was the first one to strike with his solo song.

　　His song, New Beginning, was released, and reached number 3 in the UK chart. Soon his debut album came out. From the album, the second single was the beautiful "I Believe". Taken from the soundtrack to the smash hit film of Billy Elliot, this song became another hit. Stephen was inspired to record this track after he had seen the film. Much like his own story, it chronicles a young boy achieving success in the face adversity. For Stephen, seven tremendous years with Boyzone has given him the most fantastic platform to launch the solo career he truly deserves.

　　Currently, Stephen is preparing to begin work on his second album. His third single, Stay, taken from New Beginning is due for release.
