BEIJING, Sept. 5 -- Protesters were waiting for the the 14th Dalai Lama as he arrived in Taipei after a journey from the island‘s southern city of Kao-shiung.

They carried banners that read "We have no extra food for the Dalai." and "Taiwan and Tibet are integral parts of China." The protesters wrote a letter and presented it to a man who claimed to be a representative of the monk.

The letter said Taiwan‘s Democratic Progressive Party engineered the Dalai‘s visit, which not only politicizes people‘s suffering, but also slows reconstruction.
