Hot Spring Leisure City

If you want to combine outdoor swimming with hot springs and brilliant flumes, it's worth heading out to the Hot Spring Leisure City in Changping, which surely has the best slides in town (though they're normally indoors, unless the retractable roof is open).

Flumes include a giant half-pipe ride, two very steep kamikaze rides and one in which you fly around a large bowl. There's also a 50-metre lap pool.

After the flumes, you can splash around on rubber dolphins in the regular-sized outdoor pool, or unwind in some of the bubbling outdoor spa pools, which are blissful even in cooler weather.
