It is often said that children are the future and education is the key. Children in the Lancang-Mekong River areas grow up in a peaceful and promising environment and, as in all countries, the children in the different countries of this region have their own idols.

This program follows children growing up in different parts of this river region. We will see orphans in Cambodia learning to make sculptures, children in Thailand who have survived the Tsunami, a little girl in Guangxi, China under the care of society and nurtured by traditional culture, and a boy in Myanmar, a Buddhist country, who leaves home to spend a period of time in a temple.
