The Lancang-Mekong River area is generously blessed with numerous natural resources, the most inviting being tropical fruits that grow against an azure sky. In this region delicious fresh fruits are readily available in every season, making a heaven for fruit lovers.

Today’s programme revolves around the life of a Thai fruit farmer and a Vietnamese merchant on the Mekong River. We will see some of the abundant natural resources, watch beautiful scenery unfold and observe the leisurely life style of the local people.

The great variety of fruits that flourish here are no longer simply food for everyday life: there are now the basis of an important industry that is highly significant to the local economy and for environmental protection in these areas nourished by the great Lancang-Mekong River.
