Yesterday, after learning the news, reporters rushed to the police station for an interview. According to Chai, he works as a deliveryman in the New Century City of Building Materials and Decoration. At around 10 am, he was carrying the materials used in a kitchen and bathroom to a household in the Food Mall in Xuzhou. Shortly after he came out of the gate of the New Century City, his tricycle bounced a little and it seemed he had ran over something. Out of curiosity, he looked back and saw a black plastic bag lying there. Curious, he wondered what was in it, so he got off the tricycle and went back to the bag. The plastic bag had been broken after the tricycle ran over it and he was stunned when he saw the bundles of cash inside the bag.

The policemen in the station counted the money and found a total of 120,000 yuan. Wang, who claims to be the owner of the cash, said that he operates a store in the auto parts city. At 9 am yesterday, he took 120,000 yuan in cash from his home and planned to go to the Agricultural Bank of China in New Century City to send to a factory in another location to purchase goods. At that time, he put the money into a black plastic bag and put it on the pedal of his electrical bicycle. He did not notice that the bag had fallen off until he arrived at the bank. When he found the money missing, he broke out in a cold sweat. Hoping for good luck, he turned back along the road and hoped he could find it.

It was confirmed that Wang really is the owner of the cash Chai picked. Out of gratitude, Wang immediately took out a stack of money and gave it to Chai, but Chai refused it. When he learned that Chai is a temporary worker at the New Century City of Building Materials and Decoration, Wang asked Chai to work at his store, yet again he refused.

According to sources, Chai is 21 years old this year and has been working in Shanghai after graduating from a high school. As the Spring Festival is approaching, he returned his hometown Xuzhou ahead of time. There is still more than a month before the Spring Festival, so through a friend he found a part-time job delivering goods on a tricycle in New Century City, with a monthly salary of 700 yuan. When he was asked by reporters if he was stirred by the colossal sum of money, Chai said, "Although my salary is low, my boss treats me well. Furthermore, I think it's best I earn my money myself."
