A wallet and 20 warmhearted people

Demonstrating their talents, residents launched a large relay search and finally found the owner of a lost wallet.

"Somebody picked up a wallet. Who can help find its owner?" "What is in the wallet?" On November 4, Li Xuemei, staff member at Yixincun Community, Shapingba District, posted a notice searching for the owner of the lost wallet in a QQ group nicknamed "Yixincun". Many residents immediately responded, and a relay to trace the owner began in the QQ group.

"It contains an ID card and 13 bank cards. The ID card shows that the owner's name is Liu Ruixuan, and he lives in Room 5-1, Building 21, Sanyicun Community, Yuzhong District." Li said that on the morning of November 4, a resident picked up a rectangular wallet and sent it to the community. Once the notice was posted, a resident immediately said that he knew the place very well and another provided the telephone number for Datianwan Community. Resident Zhang Wei said that his female cousin lives in that building and he would call and ask her.

30 minutes later, Zhang Wei posted a message stating, "My cousin said that there is nobody there with that name." Li then called Datianwan Community and asked them about the man. They told Li that Liu had sold his house and at present the property is empty, therefore they also had no means to contact him.

"We can call the bank to get information about the owner," resident Liu Jia suggested. "Yes, we can have a try". "Xuemei, please send the bank account details to us, we can each call a bank to inquire" …… ten minutes later, "the call cannot be put through," resident Xie Hua said. "The ICBC will not tell me anything about the owner." "Neither will the CMBC." "Nor the ABC"…… residents posted a succession of responding messages.

Then he told Li Liu's telephone number.

At 2:00pm on November 4, Liu the owner finally appeared and recovered his wallet. "Thank you very much. Without everybody's help, I would certainly have had to not only reapply for all of my bank cards and my ID card, but also fly back to Shenzhen to make out another certificate." Liu said gratefully.

Why do you care about matters that do not trouble you personally? "I also once lost my wallet so I know that it is very troublesome to reapply for an ID card and report lost bank cards. Moreover, you would be more worried if the bank card in which your wages are deposited was in the wallet." Zhang Wei said that he just wanted to help and it was not a difficult task. "I was moved by the fact that 20 residents all participated to help a stranger, and it made me want to offer my help." Xie Hua said.
