At the 43th International Conference on Traditional Medicine, Wusurilete, head of Aoteqi Mongolian Medicine Research Institute of Hypothyroid Disease that is located at Alashan League in Inner Mongolia, won the Lifelong Award of International Traditional Medicine, which is the supreme honour in traditional medicine field in the world.

The International Conference on Traditional Medicine is a world-recognized authoritative meeting on traditional medicine, and provides an important platform to traditional medicine experts from all over the world to spread latest research projects. The 43rd International Conference on Traditional Medicine was held at the International Conference Center in Colombo, Sri Lanka from November 27 to 29 in 2005. More than 450 scholars from 49 countries attended the meeting. The Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China organized a delegation and sent it to take part in the conference.

Wusurilete is the only Mongolian medicine expert who uses Mongolian drug to treat hypothyroid disease, and he developed a series of Mongolian drugs to hypothyroid disease through over 30 years' medical practices. He red his thesis Treatment and Research on Mongolian Medicine and Hypothyroid Disease at the meeting, which won unanimous praise from all experts. Some scholars signed cooperation agreements with Aoteqi Mongolian Medicine Research Institute of Hypothyroid Disease.
