Animation industry bases set up in Beijing

On the morning of June 27, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio, Film and Television held a plaque-awarding ceremony for “national animation industry bases” for Beijing’s cultural creative industry clusters in Haidian, Shijingshan and Tongzhou.

The animation industry is a capital, science and technology, and labor-intensive cultural industry, according to relevant officials. Adopting intensive production and large-scale operation is the only way to prosperity for the animation industry. To this end, national animation industrial bases have been set up to pool a large number of animation enterprises in order to develop a bigger and stronger animation industry.

After the plaque-awarding ceremony, the three cultural creative industry clusters will strengthen their focus on, and support of, animation enterprises in their cluster. At the same time, they will intensify efforts to attract more investment and animation enterprises.
