China's best snowboards will take to the slopes at three snow mountains - in Shijinglong Resort (Beijing), Dolomiti (Hebei province) and Changchun Lianhuashan (Jilin Province).
This year's competition is being held in China for the first time and will offer Chinese a chance to partake of the snowboarding culture.
Dolomiti's and Changchun Lianhuashan's events will boast a full day of fun activities for both veterans and beginners, whereas Jundushan's will feature a variety of events at night.
Dressed in brightly colored snowsuits, kneepads and safety goggles, the brave participants will hike up to the summit, explore its landscape, and take a brief lesson on technique before charging down the mountain at speeds of up to 60 kmph on the board.
Another adventure awaiting snowboarding enthusiasts is whooshing downhill in a large, transparent, air-cushioned, hollow ball, a ride that promises to leave everyone screaming with laughter.
