The long Tibetan history and splendid culture made all the present teachers and students longing for Tibet, a world's mysterious land in a lecture made by Chinese Tibetologist and living Buddhas in Estonian Tallinn University on September 25.

"I will grasp any chance to visit Tibet in future," said Ge Jia, a native Estonian in fluent Chinese. Ge Jia, a graduate of Asia Culture Department, Humanism College of Tallinn University gave herself a Chinese name as she has spent a year and half in studying Chinese in China. It was in 2004, Ge Jia studied at the Zhejiang University and she has been to Beijing, Shanghai and some other Chinese big cities. But, she knows little about Tibet, so after heard this lecture given by Chinese Tibetologists and living Buddhas, she was really interested in such kind of activity.

In the two-hour lecture, Changngopa Tseyang, deputy headmaster of Tibet University, Daoji Renqing, president of Tibetan language culture of China Northwest Ethnic University and Rinpoche Yexi Nyima briefly introduced the history, culture, protection and development of Tibetan traditional culture and religious belief freedom.

The vivid stories about Songtsan Gambo, Princess Wencheng and some other historical figures led audience to a wonderful historical and cultural tour in Tibet and many students tried to study Tibetan letters and their pronunciations following two Tibetologists.

Ge Jia said that she would teach her students what she had learnt from this lecture to let them better undertand Tibet.

The present students asked living Buddhas to write his wishes in Tibetan on their postcards given by the delegation after the lecture.( 2007-09-27 )
