A series of measures have been taken for protecting the wetland and vegetation around the holy mountain Mt.Kangrinboqe and the holy lake Mapham Yutso in Ngari. A wall of crawl has been placed around the 30,000 mu (mu, a unit of area, equals 1/15 hectare) wetland to keep garbage and vehicles away from the nature reserve area.
