Red Cross Society of the People's Republic of China donated 30,000 USD to Ethiopia Red Cross Society

H. E. Mr. Gu Xiaojie, Ambassador of China to Ethiopia, on behalf of the Red Cross Society of the People's Republic of China, handed over in cheque 30,000 US dollars to Mr. Daniel Tegenu, President of the Ethiopia Red Cross Society, for food crisis relief in Ethiopia on March 17th, 2009, in Addis Ababa.

On the hand-over ceremony held in the Chinese Embassy, Amb. Gu Xiaojie said the 30,000 dollar's donation, despite a small amout, shows the Chinese People's heartfelt concern and sympathy for the Ethiopian people. Mr. Daniel Tegenu expressed his deep gratitude for the generous donation by China and said the Ethiopia Red Cross Society will try its best to fully and properly utilize this donation.
