Nothing says "Thailand" more than the elephant. But now their numbers are limited to about 2,600. They work in everything from transport to massage and even art.

This is not a zoo, but a busy street near Bangkok, Thailand. Here, the elephants are a major means of transportation for tourists.

Their delicate steps share the same roads with cars, vans, and buses. They have even learned the traffic rules. They will slow their steps, and politely let the car go first if they find themselves in the way.
