Jin Shan began his career as a stage actor. Within a few years he moved on to Shanghai鈥檚 motion picture industry. When 鈥楽ong at Midnight鈥 screened in Shanghai in 1937, it was one of the season鈥檚 biggest hits and made Jin Shan a star overnight.
