Hundreds of music lovers gathered around open air stages at temples, mansions, and pedestrian streets on Sunday as France brought its "Fete de la Musique" to Shanghai for the first time.
"Fete de la Musique," the French national music festival, will make its China debut at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo on Sunday, its initiator said on Thursday.
Paris Deputy Mayor Christian Sautter has promised to show a different Paris during the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai from May 1 to October 31.
The French Exhibition Bureau (FEB) launched a promotion meeting here on Wednesday to introduce France´s preparation for the Shanghai World Expo, which opens on May 1.
During an interview, Franck Serrano, curator of the French Pavilion, told reporters that the French Pavilion will integrate many methods of human perception: visitors can use their sense of taste, sight, touch, smell and hearing to experience the pavilion. "The French Pavilion has created an Utopian romance and has used methods of human perception to help visitors associate it with our future life," said Franck Serrano.
The architectural model of the French National Pavilion for the World Expo 2010 Shanghai was unveiled here Tuesday.
