The Shanghai World Expo is celebrating Czech Pavilion Day. Under the theme of "Fruits of Civilization", the pavilion showcases a virtual city, with a spotlight on new technologies.
Construction has finished on the World Expo´s Czech Republic pavilion which uses ice-hockey pucks in its design.
Visitors to Shanghai World Expo will be dazzled by rare exhibits in the Czech pavilion, Czech Participation General Commissioner Pavel Antonin Stehlik has told Xinhua.
A part of Czech´s pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010 will be dedicated to the famous writer Franz Kafka, a cultural symbol of Prague, director of Franz Kafka Centre Marketa Malisova told Xinhua.
Under the theme of "Fruits of Civilization," a display will interpret that the birth of city is fruits of civilization. With adoption of technical fruits to create better cities, visitors will discover different fruits of civilization moving from street to street. To explain the theme, the Czech Pavilion will produce a virtual city with spotlight on the use of new technologies.
