Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, and Albina Faria Assis, special consultant for the president of Angola and the country's commissioner general for the 2010 Expo, signed the contract.

Hong said Angola had made impressive exhibitions in previous world expositions and hoped the country would also present a splendid show this time.

Assis said the Expo theme "Better City, Better Life" is in line with what Angola is pursuing as it is meaningful for African urban development.

Angola will confirm its exhibition theme early and work out exhibition and performance plans, Assis said.
