Wang toured the former Expo site after attending the second China-Japan high-level economic dialogue.

He said his visit was aimed at learning from Japan's experience. Japan has been the host of two world expositions. His other intention was to promote the Shanghai Expo to the Japanese.

The organizer is working hard towards a "successful, splendid and unforgettable" event, which will be a bridge for communication, understanding and cooperation among different people and help achieve a "better life," Wang said.

Kanda said the Japanese have high expectations for the Expo. He believed Expo 2010 would be as fabulous as the Beijing Olympics.

The two discussed the master plan, operations and way pavilions were used after the Aichi Expo.
