Fehmida Mirza, the speaker of Pakistan's National Assembly today said Pakistan would try its hardest in its preparations for 2010 World Expo to help make it a success.

She said the 2010 Expo is an amazing and incredible event given its participation scale, following a briefing on Expo progress by Zhou Hanmin, deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee.

It will provide an opportunity to enhance Sino-Pakistani ties and will allow Pakistan to show off its culture, she said.

Zhou said Pakistan was among the first countries that confirmed participation and has decided to build a 2,000-square-meter pavilion with the ground-breaking ceremony set for tomorrow.

The organizers are grateful for the "strong support," Zhou added. He invited Pakistan to participate in the summit and theme forums as well as the cultural events for the Expo.
