| China's senior party official starts visit to Argentina |

Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, has arrived for an official goodwill visit to Argentina.
In a written statement upon arrival at the airport on Thursday, Li noted that China and Argentina have a long history of friendship.
He said he is in Argentina to promote bilateral understanding, deepen friendship and enhance cooperation.
He expressed the hope that bilateral exchanges and cooperation would continue to develop.
Li came to Argentina after winding up his trip to Cuba. Later he will go to New Zealand, the last leg of his three－nation tour.
