Chinese President Hu Jintao has met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk and Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk Thursday in Beijing.
. Hu said Sino－Cambodian friendship has withstood domestic and international changes and been strengthened in the process. He highly valued the great contributions made by King Sihanouk in the development of bilateral ties, and pledged that the new Chinese leadership will continue the healthy momentum in further developing the relationship.
King Sihanouk recalled his friendship with previous generations of Chinese leaders and expressed sincere thanks to the Chinese government and people for their unselfish support and assistance to his country.
The Royal couple will leave Beijing for home after routine medical checkups and recuperation in the Chinese capital.
