Thousands of people gathered in downtown Beijing on Sunday to mark the 2nd anniversary of Beijing's Olympic bid triumph.
The grand celebration entitled "Healthy Beijing, Dynamic Olympics" was held at the Millennium Monument in western Beijing. The two－hour gala included fast－tempo body－building exercises, acrobatic shows, songs and dances that drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.
The Beijing Municipal Government and the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee jointly presented the celebration to showcase the changes and development of the Chinese capital over the past two years.
