The Head of the State Administration of Sports, Yuan Weimin has been elected the new chairman of China's Olympic Committee.
Yuan said on Wednesday that China faces unprecedented challenges in the coming 2004 and 2008 Olympic games. He pledged to motivate the country to face these challenges and host a successful Olympics in Beijing.
