Shares Recover in Argentina, Drop in Brazil, Mexico

Latin America's three major stock markets -- Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires -- closed mixed Tuesday.

Buenos Aires's stock market closed with its Merval index up 1.27 percent to end at 395.49 points. The trade volume was aproximately 9.68 million dollars.

In Sao Paulo, Latin America's biggest bourse, the leading Bovespa index closed bearish at 12,991 points, edging down 0.99 percent from the 13,121 points of the previous close. The turnover was 231 million dollars, as compared to the 333 millions of Monday.

Meanwhile, Mexico City's stock market IPC index, led by transportation and construction stocks, dropped 1.05 percent, losing 70.41 points to close at 6,609.30 points. A total of 75.735million shares were traded at 121.670 million dollars.
