"Star of Outlook" English Talent Competition--Tian Jin

The "Star of Outlook" English Talent Competition---Tian Jin final is held at Tian Jin Medical University. With the great support of the Tian Jin Education Committee, 20 contestants from 9 universities like Tian Jin University, Tian Jin Science and Technology Institute, Tian Jin Foreign Language Institute and Tian Jin Medical University were able to participate in the contest.
The activities has been supported by all the universities and colleges of higher learning in Tian Jin.
All the contestants were selected from a very closely fought initial round. Each of the top competitors are now eager for the start, and they're all pretty confident about themselves.
I feel a little sheet, but I hope get a good success in this play.
I am not a student of English major, but my major is managing. I am favor of English, I think it is very interesting for me to participate such a big competition, and I think every contestant here are busy making up. I find that I am a little nervous, but more feeling is exciting, I think I am confidence to win the game. I hope I could win.
I think the purpose I came here is learn form all the competitors, I think is no doubt a good chance for me. I can seize this opportunity, I can be the winner, and I have the confidence to be the winner.
The competition is about to begin, and the contestants are making some last minute preparation. This is where they will soon
The competition is divided into free talk and adlib two parts. The contestants' fluent English, graceful presentation and their unique opinion have all reflected their talent.
My university life, it's like a colorful picture, painting my track to maturity; it's like a big stage, where I am performing.
Not every President is a leader, but every time we elect a President we hope for one, especially in times of doubt and crisis.
Good afternoon dear ladies and gentlemen. It is my great honor to stand here and giving the speech on the title of: We are the world.
A long time ago, the individual was surrounded by nature so abundant that its immensity was amazing.
Looking back on my personal experience, I owe what I am today to the various kinds of great help, which I have gotten from teachers, friends and even strangers.
the word "gift"is usually associated with happiness such as birthdays or celebrates.
And everytime we will go into raptures on receiving it.Compared with such ordinary blessing,there is a special gift named "courage"which is always accompany our lives.
Remember,if you are suffering from the pain in life,or if you really want to hold on to a faith you are searching,just open your heart to music.It will erase your bitter yesterday and bring you a creed you dream to possess.
For every kind of question from judges, the contestants are calm to react. Their eloquence presented the solid English background. And the elegant style conveyed through their behavior convinced the audience and impressed the judges as well.
As one of the judges today, I feel very satisfied with the performance of the participants. Id like to say a little words the criterion about judges whither these students are good or not so good is that, we set up a regulation for follow. First of all which voice, they have to speak loud enough to make heard, second is their presentation should deliver, not read or rehearse. Also we concentrate on their communicative ability, such as make themselves understood with clear and central idea and things like that.
Every contestant feels confident, but the judges are strict too. Among these 20 players, who will in the end win the final chance in Beijing?

“希望之星”英语风采大赛?天津分赛区的决赛现场设立在天津医科大学。在天津市教委的大力支持下，来自天津大学、天津理工学院、天津外国语学院和天津医科大学等9所高校的20名选手参加了本次比赛的角逐。
这项活动得到了天津各所高等院校的大力支持。
本场比赛的参赛选手都是从各大高校通过激烈的初赛选拔上来的。这20名英语学习的佼佼者们正在等待着比赛的开始，他们对取得最后的胜利都充满了信心。
我现在感觉有点紧张，但我希望我能在比赛中取得好成绩。
我不是英语专业的学生，我是学管理的。我很喜欢英语，能参加这样的比赛我感到很有意思。现在大家都在忙着化妆，我有点紧张，但更多的感觉是兴奋。我有信心赢得这场比赛，我希望我能赢。
我来参加比赛的主要目是向其他选手学习，这对我来说无疑是一次很好的机会。我会抓住这次机会，我一定能成为冠军，我有信心成为冠军。
比赛就要开始了，选手们都在抓紧这最后的时间进行准备。一会儿他们将要在这里展现他们的风采。
本场比赛分为自由演讲和即兴演讲两部分，选手们流畅的英语，优雅的台风以及对主体的独到见解，无不体现出大学生的风采。
我的大学生生活就像一幅多彩的图画，记载着我成长的足迹。它是一个让我展示自己的舞台。
不是每一个总统都能成为领导，而在危急或紧急的时候我们总是希望能选出这样一个领导。
女士们，先生们，下午好。很荣幸能站在这里进行演讲，我演讲的题目是《我们就是世界》。很久以前，人类被广阔、富饶的大自然包围着。
回想我的经历，我能有今天的（成绩）完全归功于我的老师，朋友甚至是许多陌生人对我的帮助。

面对来自评委的各类问题，选手们沉着冷静，瞬间的出口成章展示了他们扎实的英语功底。举手投足间透出的大家风范不仅使全场观众深深折服，也给评委留下了深刻的印象。
作为今天比赛的评委，我对选手们的表现很满意。下面我想说说我们给选手们评分的标准。首先是声音，选手们要保证声音宏亮；第二是选手们表达要自然，演讲的内容不能去读或背诵。我们还会考虑选手的表达能力，如是否能很清楚的表达自己的观点。当然发音也是很重要的一个方面，尽管它没有被作为评分的重点，但我们仍然觉得这是很重要的一个方面。
选手们的信心十足，评委的要求又十分的严格，那么在参赛的20名选手中，究竟谁能赢取在北京参加总决赛的机会？
