李茂奇

Li Maoqi
After graduating from Beijing Normal University
of Foreign Languages with a Bachelor's degree
in English Literature, he continued his studies
in International Affairs at Peking University.
In 1989,he earned a Master's degree in Law and
became a teacher in the English Department at
Peking University. Two years later, he joined
the journalism staff at China Central Television. He anchored "China Business Guide" for two years and then took the assignment as Chief News Anchor for US-based Asian American Satellite TV, in Chicago, Illinois. He returned in 1999 and later became a news announcer for CCTV's English language news.
