First hints of 2004 CCTV Spring Festival gala |

 With only six days to go to Chinese New Year's Eve, people are starting to wonder what CCTV Spring Festival Gala of this year looks like. At a news conference on the morning of Jan.15, members of the CCTV organizing committee said audience satisfaction is the key aim of this year’s offering.
The CCTV Spring Festival Gala never fails to arouse media attention. Since the first one was held in 1983, the gala has become the TV "brand" of the Chinese Spring Festival. Songs, dances, comic dialogues, short sketches, everything is centered around celebration, jubilation, goodwill and festivity.
At the press conference on Jan.15, reporters from a variety of media from home and abroad were present, trying to capture more details of the festival. The interest of journalists suggests that the Spring Festival Gala is exerting a stronger influence every year.
This year, the aim of the gala is to reflect the mood and views of the ordinary people of China, and to give them the performances they are longing to see. In a phrase, it's all about audience satisfaction. The organizers hope to give you what you want on the evening of Jan. 21.
