The Spring Festival Gala is traditionally the main cultural dish on the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year. But if you have to be elsewhere on that particular night or still want more, the Spring Festival TV Gala produced by Beijing TV could give you your fill.
Rehearsals for the Spring Festival gala, co－produced by Beijing TV, Shanghai Dragon TV and Pegasus & Taihe Entertainment International, have been intense. The gala has attracted a number of celebrities. This rehearsal was held on the night of Jan.18, and saw everybody trying their level best, even though it wasn't the real thing.
Popular comic forms like cross－talk and skits still take their traditional places on the impressive menu. Song and dance performances will showcase the personalities and features of the times. With the cultural combination of Beijing and Shanghai, the 2004 BTV Spring Festival Gala is sure to see in the Lunar New Year with style.
