3 injured as train derails in S Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Three passengers were slightly injured when three coaches of a train derailed in southern Pakistan 's Sindh province on Sunday.

The train Shalimar Express bound for Lahore, capital city of eastern Punjab province, derailed between Kotri and Hyderabad in Sindh province, according to official Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

The APP quoted the Divisional Superintendent Railways Karachi Division, Mir Mohammed Khaskheli as saying that the rescue operation had been started.

He said the derailed coaches were being re-railed while the train was brought to Hyderabad from where it left for onward journey after a delay of two hours.

He said the three passengers who suffered minor injuries also left by the same train after getting first aid.
