China reports 264,000 people living with HIV/AIDS

Nearly 45,000 people living with HIV/AIDS were found in China in the first 9 months of this year, bringing the total number of people known to have HIV to about 264,000.

Nearly 45,000 people living with HIV/AIDS were found in  China in the first 9 months of this year, bringing the total number of people known to have HIV to about 264,000.

Nearly 34,000 are known to have died. But the Ministry of Health says the disease is spreading at a slower rate.
