Cosmetic make-overs are often seen as a way to get a better job, earn more money, or even be more eligible for marriage. But one person in China has taken it a step further. Well into her fifties, she's been under the knife more than fifty times. Her love for plastic surgery has also made her a leading surgeon in China, and the boss of a famous chain of surgery clinics.

She is nicknamed China's Michael Jackson. Not this one, it's her wax figure.

Here is the real person, sketching a new nose for one of her customers.

But she finds comparisons between her and the Amercian pop singer upsetting.

Shi Sanba said, "The difference between me and Michael Jackson is that he violated the law of nature, while I'm following it. He is black. How can you change yourself from black to white? After the change, he became someone who is not black yet not white, and looked worse than before. I did my surgeries based on the law of nature."

28 years ago, Shi was a traditional opera singer from Henan province. She said her small eyes, flat nose, and big face hindered her career, which also resulted in a heart-broken divorce.

28 years ago, Shi was a traditional opera singer from Henan province. She said her small eyes, flat nose, and big face hindered her career, which also resulted in a heart-broken divorce.

This drove her to have her first surgery, which was followed by many more. She had her eyes enlarged several times, reduced her chin, got breast implants, flattened her stomach and tightened her buttocks.
